FRINGE is seeking new members for our creative coworking space, located in Union Square, Somerville. We are a diverse group of individuals and small businesses working together in a converted warehouse space. The raw space makes it ideal for people who need more than just an office to work from, and our wide range of creative services often leads to sharing ideas and clients.
Fringe has a communal conference room and plenty of parking for clients, and is a quick walk to the five bus lines that run through Union Sq. We host a weekly open coworking day for community members and participate/sponsor other events throughout the year.
We currently have two 10'x15' spaces that will be available on August 15th. The spaces are next to each other and could be combined to create a single 15'x20' space if desired.
Ideal candidates would:
- be creative entrepreneurs/freelancers/small firms
- enjoy working in an active environment around other people doing what they love
- be working full time or planning to go full time with their business
- not have too much overlap with the services offered by current members
Please check out www.fringeunion.com for an overview of the current members, and email hello@fringeunion.com if you are interested!

UPDATE: Since Mike has a Wednesday Scheduling conflict, Co-working days will be on Tuesdays, starting July 19th.
We know the dog days of summer can get to people. Especially those folks who are working from home or a coffee shop every day. Since we're so nice, we've decided to open the Fringe conference room up to you folks every Wednesday Tuesday for the rest of the summer!
You need to register in advance, since seats are limited (10 people/seats are the absolute max) so you'd better hurry! We'll be doing it on a week by week basis for now, and if there is enough interest we'll create something so you can schedule your stays weeks in advance (and even pay via PayPal). We're currently only accepting cash the day of.
The details:
For $10 you get a seat (with tablespace) from 10AM to 5PM & all the coffee and internet you can handle. You'll be working in the same place as some fantastic small businesses and networking with other locals. We're looking for designers, programmers, web folk, writers, students, and anyone else that is sick of working in a coffee shop every day.
We're located at 9 Olive Sq, just outside Union Sq, Somerville, and are about a 15-20 minute walk from the Red line (Central & Harvard), green line (Lechmere) and the orange line (Sullivan). We've got several buses through the area (85, 86, 87, 91 and CT2) and have limited parking.
We've got several coffee shops and restaurants (Pizza, Pubs, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, you name it) within a 5 minute walk along with some great bars (We'll probably get a beer or two after).
We've got a full size fridge, microwave and toaster oven you are welcome to use, as well.
We're limited to 10 people, so those that register first, get first choice.
If you're interested contact Me (Mike Kivikoski) at mike@atedrake.com . If you're not interested, but know of someone who is, please feel free to pass this message along.

This past Wednesday, we had our first co-working day here at Fringe. Five independent business owners came by to take advantage of all the free coffee and internet they could handle in our conference room space.
We had Niki Brown (@nikibrown) of Rocket Mouse, Patrick Haney (@notasausage) of Hanerio, Jeff Byrnes (@berkleebassist, http://www.jeffbyrnes.net/), Lauren Keville (@dancinglemur) of LuvsPixels, and Andrew of Buzzword, LLC.

We're planning on having more of these over the summer, so if you're interested follow us on twitter for updates, @Fringe_Union.

The green wall in the conference room was installed by our own Recover Green Roofs.
The conference room is available for rent by the public at hourly and daily rates. If you're interested, send an email to hello@fringeunion.com for more information.
