You've been hearing buzz about this for weeks - our very own Pinewood Derby at PROCESS.

The race will be held on Saturday, February 18th and we now have car kits available at Grand/PROCESS (374 Somerville Ave, Somerville MA). The kits are $20 and include the standard sized wood block, wheels, and axles, and will serve as registration for the race. All participants will also receive a commemorative letterpress poster at the event.

The Cool Kids Club DJs will be spinning tunes throughout the event and prizes will be awarded in a number of categories related to speed and good looks (or lack thereof).

More details will be posted as we continue to line up sponsors but for now, get over to Grand and get started on your sweet ride!

BREWELRY from Pretty Things and e. Scott originals, is a new line of jewelry made from discarded beer kegs that just got a nice little writeup in the Weekly Dig. And speaking of nice little writeups, Anya from Pretty Things put together a blog post describing their recent move-in, which broke all records for "fastest move-in/office setup" in Fringe's long history of moving in and setting up office.

We had so much fun at DRINKS NIGHT last week that we forgot to take any pictures but we're looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next one on October 4th. All events will be on the first Tuesday of the month from here out so set a recurring event on your calendars and come join us!

This September, Fringe is going to begin hosting a monthly meetup/drinks night for Boston-area creatives/freelancers/designers/entreprenuers/makers/doers. Basically combining the traditional industry-specific networking event with the cross-disciplinary awesomeness that has made Fringe a success for the last two years.

Watch the whole process from Pete and Pete's structural reinforcements, to installing a new waterproof membrane, to moving 10 tons of dirt up on the roof.

Window install complete on Winchester project. Union Foundry will focus on exterior trim and siding details as we hand the interior over to Subcontractors for the next couple weeks.

This is a completely different home than it was at the end of May.

Recover Green Roofs has been commissioned to install a tropical green wall for Casa B, a tapas restaurant that will be opening up in Union Square Somerville MA this Winter.

Union Foundry designed the prototypes of mobile garden units, for the City of Cambridge, for community testing and possible large scale use on under-utilized parking structures to increase community garden space in the city.

Shown here are two beds stacked upon each other. Each bed has a metal archway for vine plants along with the capability of wheel attachements.

Painter Brian Hart has been photographing each layer he paints on his pieces.
